This journal isn't made from trees. It's made from marble waste.
We take calcium carbonate — the mineral left behind at marble quarries and construction sites — and transform it into paper. No trees are cut. No water is used. No bleach or chemicals are needed. Just waste given a second life.
The result is unlike any paper you've written on before.
What makes it different
The surface is impossibly smooth. Pens glide without resistance in every direction because stone paper has zero grain. Ballpoint, gel, pencil, fineliner — they all perform beautifully. There's no bleed-through, so you can write on both sides of every page without worrying about what shows through.
It's completely waterproof. Spill your coffee, get caught in the rain, drop it in a puddle — the pages won't warp, wrinkle, or dissolve. Liquids bead up on the surface and wipe right off. Your words stay exactly as you wrote them.
It's nearly impossible to tear. This paper is 80% mineral. It doesn't rip the way traditional paper does. Your journal will survive your bag, your commute, your travels, and your life.
Specifications
Size: A5 (5.8" × 8.3") — fits comfortably in most bags. Pages: 128 pages (64 sheets). Binding: Thread-sewn for lay-flat writing. Cover: Stone paper in your choice of color. Page options: Lined, blank, or dot-grid. Weight: Lighter than you'd expect from something made of stone.
Pen compatibility
Works beautifully with ballpoint pens, gel pens, pencils, and fineliners. Rollerball pens and markers work well too. Fountain pens are compatible but need about 15–20 seconds of drying time — we recommend testing on the last page first.
What's inside the box
Your journal, wrapped in compostable packaging. An impact card showing the environmental savings of your specific purchase. A pen recommendation guide. Disposal instructions with our take-back recycling QR code. And a small thank-you from us.
Our take-back promise
When you've filled every page, don't throw it in the recycling bin — stone paper needs to come back to us. Scan the QR code inside the back cover, send it back, and we'll recycle it into new stone paper. You get 10% off your next journal. No waste. Full circle.
The environmental impact of this journal
Every journal saves approximately 20 gallons of water compared to a traditional paper notebook. It diverts marble waste from landfills. Its production generates 60% less carbon emissions than conventional paper manufacturing. And zero trees were harmed.
We believe in being honest: stone paper contains approximately 20% HDPE (a recyclable plastic binder) that holds the calcium carbonate together. It's what gives the paper its strength and waterproof properties. We're transparent about this because we think you deserve to know exactly what you're buying — and our take-back program ensures it never ends up in a landfill.
This journal is for you if
You care about where your products come from. You want something that survives your daily life. You appreciate writing on something that feels genuinely different. Or you just want a beautiful notebook that doesn't cost the planet a forest.
